Brotherly Love

My cousin Jo has the cutest boys and as we are approaching half term I am sure she is really looking forward to spending quality time with them both. It looks like we are going to be snowed in for some of the holiday so stock up with colouring books Jo, it might be a long one!

Gorgeous Rhys and Euan

The papers used are a section of leftover bits and pieces but mostly 'Clippings' from Basicgrey which is great for non-girly papercrafting! The large letters are created by sticking paper to chip board and die-cutting using the new Tim Holtz Block Talk Alphabet die from Sizzix. The other lettering was hand scribbled as you can tell!

Cute Cupcake Boxes

With Mother's Day fast approaching I found myself searching for cute ideas to wrap my gifts and was delighted to find a range of templates available online for gorgeous cupcake gift boxes. As perfect as they were I still found ways to adapt them a little to make them into my own. What I adore about templates is that once you have them stored onto your desk top you can return to them at any time and adapt them to suit whatever occasion you are celebrating. Brightly coloured versions would work brilliantly for children and of course Christmas coloured card with the addition of a sprig of holly would be perfect for presenting Christmas cookies or sweets...

This Template can be purchased from My Time Made Easy and although it was a little fiddly to create , the extra time spent was well worth it as the box is a really brilliant size.

All of the flowers have been drawn and hand cut but could easily be die cut or stamped
for a similar effect.

The Making Spot

The Making Spot is a great online resource for crafters with projects, patterns and advice at a click of a button. I frequently get asked about templates and here you can find some cute ideas that I have created but also, more importantly access many more by designers across the country.

Follow the above link to find my embossing project ideas and instructions such as this  embossed acetate method.

I am really enjoying working with the Sizzix product line at the moment creating projects to display at the upcoming trade show. I feel really privilaged to be able to use the brand new product and I still wouldn't swap my Big Shot for the world...well except maybe for the brand new turquoise version which would look so lovely in my craft room!

No time for day dreaming this week!!

Little Treasures

I have decided to become a dedicated blogger! My love for craft has been rejuvenated since visiting Creativeworld, Frankfurt with the some of the guys from Sizzix. It was really nice to meet lots of new like minded people and also to bump into so many old friends.

Here I am, snapped by the lovely Paula Pascual, contemplated the endless crafting possibilities with the gorgeous new dies for the coming year!
During the exhibition I was surprised to see so many fabric kits which reminded me of my own soft toy creations, inspired by a book of Softies that I bought some years ago when visiting my mum in America. I have posted pictures before on Facebook but here are the stages of making in case anyone is interested!
