About Me
Let me tell you a little bit about myself....I grew up with creativity surrounding me with my mother knitting and making clothes for my brothers and I. It wasn't long before I started to make dolls clothes from my mother's fabric scraps, folding them around the body of my Barbie doll and fixing them into position using elastic bands...no skill involved but great fun none-the-less!!
The creativity bug took a hold of me and I can never remember a time when I wasn't making or drawing something. I graduated with an Honors Illustration Degree and spent many years illustrating for greeting card companies, magazine publishers and children's book publishers before becoming involved in the Craft industry.
My first experience of the Craft industry was when I took on the role of designer at Ellison Europe, the manufacturers of the Sizzix range of die-cutting equipment. I couldn't believe how huge the industry was but more importantly I became aware of just how amazing the people in this industry are. It is a genuine community which I always hope to be a part of.
I left Ellison Europe in 2009 to pursue a freelance career and divided my time between creating projects for consumer craft magazines such as Crafts Beautiful, Papercraft Inspirations, Papercraft Essentials and Cardmaking and Papercraft and teaching craft techniques in workshops both in the UK and overseas.
